I just finished this series. Such an amazing soundtrack, cinematography, and pacing! One of the best wildlife docuseries I've seen yet. Keep up the good work NetFlix.

This was amazing but the narration left something to be desired. Her voice had no texture no drama no suspense. Would’ve been so much better with David Attenborough.

Let's be honest Netflix... you cannot ignore the many criticisms of the narrators lack of passion and knowledge .. we who love nature docs know who care about their content
Samira doesnt need to be a biologist or a David Attenborough BUT she needed to be a good narrator... and that she is NOT
You could have gotten Keith David
But I suppose you thought a feminine voice would match the concept... then you should have gotten Sigourney Weaver

    The images are fantastic.
    But the presenter isn't great.
She tries to talk below her natural tone and it's horribly noticeable.

I noticed straight away that there are more stars in space viewed from our Earths surface, than there are in almost all of NASA video footage, can they take one of these cameras into space and show us SPACE please. Thank you.

      It's all about exposure.
Filming something bright in the foreground will bleed out most Stars.

The only bad thing in my opinion was the voice/ presenter w.e. you call it. She wasn't that good. Other than that amazing.

@Pyriphlegeton 100% agree. It just didn't feel genuine for some reason like you said it felt like a forced voice. Also more creditors to the camera men and woman my god are they brave. To take some of the shots they took not just anyone can do that.

These doc's are so over narrated and full of shit. Tells made up statistics, stories, lol, and then they cut to that fake ball earth video with a magical orange force field around it that the artists decided to add however not that long ago. It's not a planet, it's a plane, get over your egos and learn the truth.

Really wanted to see this but as I started watching it the American narrator's over the top dramatic delivery was really annoying. Jesus, Lady! It's already amazing footage and information, you don't have to sell it so hard! So I put on the subtitles and switched the spoken language to French where a sexy-sounding French woman narrator reads the same script in a more understated manner as I read along pretending it's one of Netflix's many foreign series.

I like the video footage, however I find it hard to get through the feminist dialogue of the voice over. There are definitely more enunciations on SHE and HER. It's like subliminal messaging.

Just finished, it was brilliant. Learned so much. The earth is truly beautiful, nice to know we haven’t messed everything up beyond repair. Great narration by Samira Wiley. And to the crew, they deserve an Emmy! (They get their shout out in a behind the scenes special, which is also informative and well done.)

I've seen a lot of documentairy's like planet earth
    and such beautiful things..
    but this one...
is the most impressive beautiful and amazing documentairy
    i've ever seen!...
what i love the most about this documentairy is that they discribe the animals in details and their habbits and extraordinary
    amazing skills to survive...
With a soft speaking lady that makes this docu constantly exciting to watch...
I really love the special effect
colors in the dark and the way they
    reconstruct this piece of art!!!
    I've seen planet earth
    And it's also verry beautiful...
    So don't get me wrong..
    but in my opinion..?
it's to much based on the dangerous environment..
    global warming..
    and human's..
    that destroy's or planet..
    And it's makes me so
sad and angry to look at it..
So i can not enjoy to watch
    planet earth in fully peace..
    But this documentairy
    give's me a lot of
    peace to watch..
    Because it show's
    the real beauty of nature...
    With a peaceful side..
    100% thank you so much
For making this amazing documentairy possible...
And I'll hope there is coming
    more in the future
of this beautiful peace of artwork...
    Bravo! Well done guys!👏🙏💛

Finally a decent Netflix documentary series. Much better than Our Planet which is a poor reissue of the BBC series with too much talking on environmental issues which totally disrupted the viewing enjoyment and degraded Attenborough as a star commentator in my opinion. I mean, he can make a series of strictly environmental issue but don't talk about them on beautiful nature films; that is like lawyers soliciting for divorce cases at wedding parties or eating pizza with chopsticks. This one looks like a new BBC series never shown. The polar bear run shot to get the seal was a champion shot. Did Netflix buy this series from BBC? I praise the commentator too, a good switch from Attenborough. The script is good, not too many words.

Great to have a female narrator for a change, but not this one. She really is not a good narrator. Cadence is bad, the tone is not soothing. It's almost like she is hyper-aware of her own voice vs focusing on the content. It's quite distracting. A good narrator makes you forget they are even there.
