The museum idea isn’t bad if worse comes to worse then people can travel across country to see what a blockbuster was like. If they are still open and want to make big profits me from Pennsylvania and many others across the country would love if they sell the Blockbuster popcorn online that stuff was so good

Guernsey had the most profitable store in the U.K when it closed. The place was always busy. It used to be only one of two places you could play video games too. Internet was slow at the time and it was a nice place to go but very small. I used to rent PlayStation games from them.

Crazy how the country goes bazerk over something so small and simple, and one day it just becomes history.
Someday our Smart Phones and game systems will be laughed at and part of history...
    So weird.

Blockbuster Video was a part of my younger days and my teen days. As a young gamer kid I would go to my local Blockbuster Video store and pick out a game. One summer I had an unlimited rental pass for a month and every day that month I'd be renting out a video game. I'd pick it up, go home, play it, come back the next day and get another one. Repeat. It was some great times. Now we have GameFly.

Wait so they have a bigger selection of Movies 🎥 then Bestbuy & cheaper prices so then why doesn’t Blockbuster have more stores 🏬 cause I need it immediately

I lost my job due to the local city government in Vicksburg, Mississippi by replacing our very successful store due to their love of money by replacing us with a very expensive sandwich restaurant. A single sandwich at this restaurant is $10 before any sales tax or any other food.

Blockbuster was more than just a rental place for movies. It was a place of gathering, a place where you can catch up with friends on a Friday night. Where you'd take your date and waste time "looking" for a movie but in reality, you were just there walking around looking for something interesting only to leave with out nothing. A place where families would meet up and gossip.

The government needs to ban streaming, shut down Netflix, and force the American public back to Blockbuster and other movie rental stores. You want to watch a movie? Either go to the cinema, wait for it to air on tv, or either buy or rent a physical copy.

Millennials have Netflix, amazon prime Video, Sling TV, Hulu, BR-plus Live TV, artificial intelligence, I Pads, I Phones, Self service kiosks, spotify, Apple Music, etc. while my generation had blockbuster video, Hollywood video, tower records, Texas instrument, IBM, Atari 2600, saga genesis, and Nintendo.

I find it funny how now everyone is looking back at Blockbuster with nostalgia. When Blockbuster came on the scene it was pretty much viewed as a villain. Yeah people went there but it was based on availability of new releases. People looked at Blockbuster the way Walmart is looked at today. Blockbuster came and bulldozed all the mom and pop stores, charged more, were ruthless with their late fees and if you didn’t like it had very few other options

Its scary how the digital age changed the face of renting movies forever... :( But the memories I has of actually going into a Blockbuster, renting a video hoping t hey would have some copies left, the smell of the stores popcorn or candy like a movie theater, etc. You wont get something like that anymore...

The experience you don’t get anymore when buying stuff online. The sad part is seeing how the younger people but that 15year old in the video was on point in how it felt. Read some comments saying that even been in one or others younger then 19 saying they’ve been in one. People really need to tell these companies to stop this easy purchase mentality. It’s obvious already that younger people have social issues as it is in that video some of theses kids seem like they didn’t even want to leave the house.
